You can add a corner relief to a single sheet metal body. Select a hard edge bend face flange face or 3d solid entire model. Choose create relief in the sheet metal menu. Type smreliefcreate in the command bar.

At the time we only explained how these reliefs worked. The model must have three bends where the bend lines meet. In the corner relief propertymanager under scope select the sheet metal body to which to apply the corner relief. The corner relief is applied at the common intersection point of the bend lines.

Creates a corner relief where two bends meet. Click insert sheet metal corner relief. For example if you make a partial flange as above using all the defaults the software makes relief cuts at the end of the bends as shown to the right. Click corner relief sheet metal toolbar or insert sheet metal corner relief.

Under corners click collect all corners to list all corners in the sheet metal body. Enter relief size by bend radius ratio or force bend reliefs auto. Synchronous sheet metal is pretty cool even cooler than just normal synchronous modeling if you ll excuse that word. Click the create relief tool button on the sheet metal ribbon tab.
