To clean venetian blinds start by wiping away any noticeable debris with paper towels.
Blinds made from aluminium pvc or a synthetic material can be given a clean with a mild detergent either in the bath or outdoors.

Next starting at the center of each slat and working toward the edges run your fingers lightly over the slats with cotton gloves or dusting mitts.

If your venetian blinds have more buildup of dust and some oily residue then cleaning with soapy water is the way to fix it.
